In this Let's Play video, you will see me play Coldridge (Full Release). This game is a Roguelite Strategy Turned Based Exploration game with Business Management like elements. It blends a little of Civilization exploration style with some Turmoil, Preserve, Terrascape, and Against the Storm. The game is Hex based map tiles with different terrains and resources. It has a lot of similarities to Against the Storm and Turmoil in many ways. You are a prospector and came across a town located in the plains of Coldridge. You make a pledge to work for the Guild of Coldridge to earn money for yourself but most importantly also pay the Guild Fee if you want to say in town through the harsh winter snow storm. You take on Contracts (from the Guild and random local encounters) and go on Expeditions to collect the various resources before the end of the year. After each winter storms, the plain resets magically and everything reshuffles for the new year. This is like Against the Storm with the Blight Storm and Citadel, were the blight storm wipes the map and only the Citadel Remains during and after the storm, then the world resets. Like a Viceroy, You go on expeditions to gather resources for the Town. It's also very similar to the game "Turmoil" (a game about drilling oil, exploiting the land, and selling to the oil companies). Here you are gathering as much resources as you can for the Guild that pays you for them. This game does have a puzzle like element to it that requires a lot of strategy and some planning. I definitely enjoyed playing this game and highly recommend it.
