Let's Play Command & Conquer - Covert Operations - Blindsided 'SUPER Cheezed'
2You know, I had just played Under Siege with Nod before this mission. The previous mission was my favorite mission in the Covert Operations. This Mission? This is the mission I abhor the most in the Covert Operations.
The task is simple, take a Commando to knock out Sam Sites to the left (and all the troops and the Turret defending them) to get some Engineers. Use Engineers to capture Nod Structures to assemble a force so I can deal with the Sam Sites to the east - which happens to include more Nod Soldier, two Turrets, and an Obelisk Guard Tower.
From there, I gain access to GDI Airstrikes, and can also start gaining a few credits from the limited Tiberian I have access too (that can net met well over 10000 credits) and strike at Nod's forces across the river - via a GDI Chinook which I can use to transfer infantry. Continue until all of Nod's Forces are dead.
Now, having some knowledge of why I hate this mission, I sort of 'abuse' the trigger mechanism that starts up Nod and gets them coming for me. If you don't send any troops over, Nod doesn't do anything with its forces above (other then send the few vague units it has north to try and attack the units south of the river that they can't reach.
Long story short, I cheeze this mission so hard it makes my cheezing of Cloak & Dagger seem really tame.
