With a nice level boost and a healing spell, Tenshi heads off to the Forest of Lost Giants. This is generally where new players should go first.

The Heide Knight Sword is a great weapon that can get you through most of the game. Biggest issue with the sword is a lack of Poise damage which can make staggering larger enemies much more difficult. You can also get a Fire Longsword soon after if you prefer a different weapon.

NPCs you meet outside of town may come to Majula after you exhaust all their dialogue so be sure to talk to everyone you meet.
