Let's Play Deadly Creatures (Wii Gameplay) Part 3 - Scorpion King
Let's Play Deadly Creatures Part 3! More Deadly Creatures Gameplay!
Deadly Creatures is a Wii game in which you play as a young male desert hairy scorpion, and an adult female tarantula. The game was developed by Rainbow Studios and published by THQ.
Throughout the game, you find yourself fighting against other arachnids, insects, rats and reptiles.
The scorpion and the tarantula have different moves and play styles. The scorpion can guard, and has finishing moves with quick time events. The tarantula has a rad spin move, and a move that flips your opponents. It's hilarious to watch them move about and attack for some reason, and it's also slightly creepy. The scorpion's levels feature more action-oriented gameplay, while the tarantula is more stealth oriented, with less linear levels.
You'll run into a bunch of animals to face off with in combat such as pill bugs, crickets, beetles, and wolf spiders, most of which can be devoured to regain health. There are also boss encounters such as a Gila Monster, and a rattlesnake. Apparently you eventually face off against a human. The battles are pretty fun. I'd love to see a sequel where the boss battles took on a "Shadow Of The Colossus" style where you had to climb giant foes like... I don't know, a giraffe or a gorilla? I think that'd be pretty kickass.
There are two humans that appear throughout the game voiced by Billy Bob Thorton and Dennis Hopper. Which is just... huh. Well then. According to Wikipedia, they're looking for the American Civil War gold. I wasn't able to really get that from the opening sequence.
Anyway, it's really not that bad a game! Especially since I only paid like 6 bucks for it. Enjoy :)
