14Let's Play King Of The Monsters for the Snes! I both love and hate this game so much.
King of the Monsters is a fighting wrestling game hybrid in which two giant monsters unlike godzilla beat the crap out of eachother in Japanese cities like Tokyo, Kyoto, Kobe, Osaka, Okayama and Hiroshima. The game was released by SNK, with ports on Super Nes and Sega Genesis by Takara. It was also included in SNK Arcade Classics volume 1 for Playstation 2, Wii, and PSP.
There are 4 playable characters in the Super Nintendo version of King Of The Monsters. We've got Rocky The Rock Johnson, Astro Guy, Beetle Mania, and Geon The Godzilla Guy. The ports did not include 2 other characters for some reason - Woo and Poison Ghost.
There's also a sequel, King of the Monsters 2 which I have not played. It actually looks kind of interesting though!
But yeah, I can't decide how I feel about this game. I think I hate it, but I bust it out every once in awhile with a friend for a good laugh, and catch myself having a good time. It's clunky, weird, quirky gameplay. But something about it is charming.
