We’ve got a lot of quests to mop up in Driftwood before we move onto the next area. “A lot” may be an understatement. We’ve got that grumpy salamander in Speaking In Forked Tongues, that cat and dog arguing upstairs in Popularity Contest, that trader over that way that we should recruit to get on the Lady Vengeance, that headless statue puzzle to sort out, and so so so much more. This week’s episode is all entirely discovered and completed using only Alice and Matthew’s heads. Promise. No cheating involved. No google. Just smart brains. Which is exactly why Matthew goes straight to Ryker’s house looking for a stag’s head, even though we’ve never heard of that before. Wow, so surprising. Who knew that was there? The internet apparently. We were only going there to see the salamander for Speaking In Forked Tongues quest, which we finally close by destroying the thrice bound chest. How many quests have we borked?
We get really stumped and confused over the reanimated spirits and ghosty fellows in the Heroes’ Rest quest, which we actually stumbled across by accident, but I suppose you won’t believe us now. Anyway, we boss that fight, go on a hunt for some of their treasures - some of which we’ve already found - and basically take a walk throughout the entire island, trying to mop up some loose ends. Spoiler: we don’t mop up half as many as we wanted to.
And yes, the episode ends with us talking to a ghost log in The Bark’s Bite. You can’t make this madness up.
