This is also my first full playthrough of the game. Kindly avoid posting spoilers in the comments or solutions to puzzles either in this video or future ones so as not to spoil the experience for me or those that haven’t seen the game before.

The first of the Hunters has been defeated, its essence pulled into the artefact we found deep in the ruins. This has awoken its power, allowing us to travel at superhuman speeds for brief periods. That this device is powered by souls is something best not thought about as we’re going to need to rely on this thing to get past encounters that’d be far too dangerous otherwise so we can bring to McNeil for examination. Betruger wants this thing badly – not that our character knows that – and finding out why may be the key to stopping this second invasion and saving humanity once and for all.

The artefact replaces the soul cube in this game and while it doesn’t gain us health or defeat enemies directly, its powers augment our fighting abilities in more supportive ways. If you guessed that we’ll gain more abilities from the other Hunters that will inevitably track us down then congratulations, you’ve figured out the gist of how the boss battles in this game are going to go down. What those powers will be remains to be seen though it’s my hope that they’ll be so absurdly powerful that they’ll put the Soul Cube to shame.
