Let's Play: Duke Nukem 3D: Duke It Out in D.C. - Level 4 - Smithsonian Terror
A playthrough of "Smithsonian Terror" (Level 4) of Duke It Out in D.C., an expansion for Duke Nukem 3D for PC (which replaces Episode 3), played through eDuke32. 100% secrets.
For the fourth map of the expansion, we have possibly the largest map made for an official content release of Duke Nukem 3D. There is a chance this map is larger than the original's E4L9 "Derelict" but if that's not the case, this map is more sprawling on the horizontal than stacked in the vertical. It is EASY to get incredibly lost here due to the sheer size of everything. However, the easiest way to remember where you are is to learn where the various exhibits are and what's inside of them. What's really cool here is the ridiculous levels of detail that's placed into, well, everything. Everything from the exhibits to the ventilation shafts to the employee areas, even the front lobby. Keep in mind though, despite all of this, the map is still no walk in the park. On top of it's massive, overwhelming size, enemies here are quite unforgiving.
