0Near Quelb on the World Map,you can run into a frog monster called Kornago. It runs away if it's alone on the battlefield. If you want to try and Catch one with a Beastmaster,you'll have to lower it's HP steadily with something like Gravity. Once you capture one,you can trade it to the weird old man in the well in Quelb along with 10,000 Gil to get the Kornago Gourd! This makes it so you can use Catch on monsters at 50% HP instead of 75%. Anyway,now that we can fly around on the Wind Drake,we need to fly over to Sage Ghido's cave. Unfortunately,Exdeath ends up sinking the island with his magic,making Ghido unreachable for now. Instead fly to the nearby Surgate Castle. This is the home of another of the Dawn Warriors,Xezat. He's not here right now though,he's currently about to launch on attack on Exdeath's Castle! Explore the castle first for some goodies though. You can learn the Swift Song for Bard by reading Xezat's diary in his room. In the library,put away a book for the dude there and you'll gain access to a secret area. This will eventually lead you to the Float spell! There's also some Shops downstairs with some new equipment to buy. Talk to NPC's around the castle and you'll learn Xezat's fleet is currently massed to the east of Exdeath's Castle. Fly over there with the Wind Drake and you can meet with him. Galuf and his friend will reunite for a bit,but then Exdeath's goons will end up attacking the fleet! You can fight the lesser mooks around the ship if you want,otherwise head to the front of the ship to fight a familiar face. Boss: Gilgamesh 3. This fight is pretty similar to the previous one,he just has more HP. Watch out for his various Blue Magic. After he takes a certain amount of damage,he'll summon his pal Enkidu to help. Switch your focus to him when he appears,cause he'll just keep trying to heal Gilgamesh! The Blue Magic spell Missile works on Enkidu,so use that and he'll only have 1K HP left. Then you can finish off ol' Gilgy. Try to Steal Genji Gloves from him if you can!
