My original playthrough of this game when it came out went about 20 minutes... just like Chrono Cross I said this is nothing like FFX and I want nothing to do with it. While I ended up loving Chrono Cross on the channel when I did it, will I end up loving FFX-2 or is this a lost cause? Let's find out together in FFX-2 Remaster!

🐧 About #FinalFantasy X-2 (from the fandom): #ffx2 story takes place in Spira two years after Final Fantasy X, told by former summoner turned sphere hunter, Yuna. Three groups—New Yevon, the Youth League, and the Machine Faction—have risen to replace the fallen Yevon temple and strive to guide Spira into a new age.
As everyone in Spira adjusts to living in a world without Sin, political conflicts between the three groups gradually escalate to threatening war. The dangers of progress and a force from the ancient past threaten to make history repeat itself and destroy the newfound peace. Yuna and her friends, old and new, must rise to the occasion to save Spira once again while she holds on to the hope of reuniting with her lost love.
The game is punctuated by Yuna's narration addressing Tidus, as though she's describing the game's events to him as they occur in style reminiscent of Tidus's narration in Final Fantasy X.

Playstation Universe 95%: Square Enix's labor of love re-imagines two classic RPGs with stunning visual fidelity and enough content to yield hundreds of hours with some of the best role-playing in two generations.
Cheat Code Central 94%: Overall the HD remasters of FFX and FFX2 are a home run. Square Enix managed to capture the initial feeling of playing these games for the first time as well as making them much more beautiful to look at.
Hardcore Gamer 90%: To just put it bluntly: buy this game. Even if you’ve played both titles before, there’s enough here to warrant a purchase. Final Fantasy X, at least, should be played by anyone who considers themselves even the slightest fan of roleplaying games.
Kostas_Spirou: The Remastered version makes this game one of the most newcomer friendly games in the series, the ideal way to begin your Final Fantasy journey. One of the best old Final Fantasy games.
