The alchemist is certainly an interesting class with a passive ability aimed at outlasting your opponent. While not exceptional by itself, when combined with cards that have multiple effects as well as healing it can give them staying power that others classes don't have while also being able to go on the offensive. I imagine that you'd typically want to use Holy or Growth cards with this class to take advantage of the ability in question.

Unfortunately this isn't something that lends itself very well to surviving the early phase of dungeon exploration and the alchemist isn't a class that I particularly gel with that well. Your mileage may vary on if you find it useful but I much prefer the range as well as other class in the tier 2 list that I haven't yet played.
