Let's Play Half-Life Blue Shift 08: Meeting the Doctor
192In this video, we finally catch up with the doctor we've been seeking and get the summary of what he's planning to try and escape. The NPC in question is the first really major NPC in any of the Half Life games with a significant amount of dialogue spread over a large part of a game, providing quite a large dose of story to Blue Shift.
Unfortunately, he's also going to provide something else to this part of the game that most people tend not to like in first person shooters. Fortunately, it's not a very long segment.
The first nine videos of this Let's Play were recorded in advance with a slight difference in my volume compared to the audio of the game. The game lacks an individual dialogue volume slider and has no subtitle option. Added onto that is the fact that some of the voice acting in the game is not probably balanced to the rest of the sound in-game, a part of the game rather then anything from the recording process. The tenth video and onwards will have the audio tweaked so that it is a little better.
