We finish exploring Floor 7 and find a few encounters along the way. We also briefly introduce Floor 8 and a few more characters.

Nitori (first encounter):
On Floor 7 and the next couple of floors after that, you will begin having a special encounter with kappa woman. This is Nitori and you can consider her a slightly stronger random encounter. This first encounter, she will stick with normal attacks and using Kappa's Illusion Waterfall. The latter is a physical aoe cold based attack but should not be much of an issue at this level. She is vulnerable to fire so Knock out in Three Steps will make short work of her. When she dies, an event will appear on the floor you fight her on. Be sure to find this event if you wish to continue on this little side story.

Tam's Foe:
Guarding the stairs to the next floor is Tam's Foe. This boss is a heavy hitter with a nasty aoe but is simplified with a predictable pattern. The pattern is Flowing Hellfire, Tackle, Slash, Tackle, repeat. Flowing Hellfire is same attack used by Ifrit but much stronger this time around. Its a good idea to have some Fire Affinity on your front row when this attack comes. Tackle is no big deal but Slash can do some good damage even to tanks so be sure you are ready for the next Hellfire when the time comes. Other than that, just remember the pattern and have a means of surviving Flowing Hellfire and you should be fine. Oh and its resistant to fire so don't use that when attacking.
