14Welcome to my semi-blind Let's Play of Make a Good Mega Man Level Contest 2 (or MaGMML2 for short), the long awaited sequel to the original MaGMML. It's a Mega Man Classic fangame that was created by a large number of people from all across the Mega Man fandom.

MaGMML2 is an anthology of 81 Mega Man levels submitted by contestants from around the world assembled into a massive Mega Man fangame complete with Fortress stages, an Endless mode, and a large amount of bonus content. Five judges all hailing from different backgrounds carefully reviewed and scored each level, ranking them based on several criteria, and then sorted into tiers based on the rank.
The result of which is a self-contained fangame the size of which is unparalleled. Every entry was hand-made over the course of over a month using a devkit featuring nearly every enemy and gimmick seen in the NES titles. Contestants were also welcome to create their own unique assets for their levels. The resultant 81 stages had a variety of themes and styles, some more creative or unique than others. The only other Mega Man fangame that comes close in size is 8-Bit Deathmatch, but that's in a different genre.
This is also a huge improvement over MaGMML1. It has over four times as many entries, lots of bonus content and secrets, a developer team consisting of over a dozen people dedicated to this title, plus another 16 beta testers. And unlike its predecessor, it has MUCH fewer odd behaviors and bugs. In essence, MaGMML2 has jumped leaps and bounds over its predecessor in terms of quality and scope. It's like the progression between Mega Man 1 and Mega Man 2.
As I mentioned in the video, this LP will last for several months due to the large amount of content. Because of the variance of level difficulties, lengths, and secrets, I cannot guarantee how many levels will be covered in each part. I already know in advance certain levels will take up entire parts.
In this part, I complete the four worst stages in Tier 1. I'm aware that I missed the Nobel Nickel around 35:54. I'll be picking that up in the next part.
