Let's Play Mario & Luigi: Kola Kingdom Quest - Part 13: Slipping into Madness
Well, this one was nasty...yikes. I'm not superstitious in the least, but here's an unlucky 13 for you. If you thought I was struggling with the first half of this area and thought maybe it would be like the previous one where the second half was actually easier, nope. Not only do we have a lot of levels to go through this time around, we have a lot of tough ones, mainly because of all the ice. 7-5, Torpedo Tunnel, is the one exception, but being an underwater level full of Torpedo Teds (and Rip van Fish), it's not easy either, especially with a well-disguised secret exit that requires a Fire Flower to access. 7-S, Snowballin', is probably the easiest level in this batch (ironically enough as a secret level), and even it's still not a walk in the park, with all the snowballs bouncing around. 7-6, A Chance of Flurries, brings back the Flurry enemies from SMB2, among other things. 7-F, Ice Birdo's Fortress, is...mostly just a good example of why small moving platforms should not have ice physics, because it's full of them (and smashers, Thwomps, and ice bars). 7-7, Shivering Shrooms, is a fairly garden-variety athletic/sky level other than the ice and Bullet Bills. Then there is Lemmy's Castle, which is full of ice and explosives, which gets really bad in the second room when the screen auto-scrolls. Definitely the toughest batch of levels we've faced so far, this one.
