We sell the Ayleid statue to Umbacano for over twice what any store would have paid us, and he sends us on a very profitable quest to collect the rest of the damn things. The amount of cash we can get from selling those statues alone? 5000 for the statues, and another 5K for collecting all of them. That is a nice amount of cash, but sadly I don't know where all those things are hidden, so this will be another questline that will remain hanging until I wander in enough ruins to find all the damn things.

Fun Fact: You CAN sell the statue to a store, and if you do you'll eventually be delivered a message that Umbacano has an interest in the items, and that he requests an audience or some such. He'll also have bought the statues you sold, and they will be in his display case.

Fun Fact: Aside form the statues, there are only 4 Ayleid artefacts in the game. All are quest related and cannot be reached until their respective quests are at the point where you are to collect them (minus one I can sequence-break with a Springstep spell, not that it would do me any good), and 3 of those four artefacts are renamed run-off-the-mill Elven Helmets, 2 of which have a leveled enchantment. I suppose the Ayleid ruins have been there since forever, so it'd makes sense that everything not locked down by unique "quest" keys is looted, but that would beg the question why not a single one of the Varla or Welkynd stones have been taken. Even the ones taken from their pedestals by bandits are still IN the ruin.
