Let's Play Random NES Games Part 1 - Castelian
The NES is the ancient lord of Videogames, reigning between the Iron Age of Atari and the Golden Age of 16-bit, it stood astride the universe, channeling us away from 1-screen style games and into the wonders of the future.
There are hundreds of games for the NES, only maybe a hundred of which I played growing up. In this series of videos I'll be playing through semi-randomly picked games and seeing how they hold up to my spoiled, modern gaming sensibilities.
First up is Castelian, which is a NES port of a game called Nebulus available for various 8-bit home computers. It acquired lots of different names in different markets and on different systems, which is sadly a practice that companies importing media like to do all too frequently. The wikipedia page for the game tells me it's available on the Wii Virtual Console, so if you like what you see, that sounds like a pretty good way to pick it up.
