Let's Play Return of the Obra Dinn #10: Roping Together the Series of Events
This video and all others of this game focus on mature subjects are not suitable for all audiences. Be advised if you intend to watch this playthrough.
Something tells me that Nichols is not the honourable man that he makes himself out to be. It might be the fact that he seems to have tried to row away from the Obra Dinn as fast as he could with a chest of valuables owned by the members of Formosan royalty who had booked passage on board. That one of their bodyguards shot him immediately upon his return speaks of anger, but not as much as that felt by the mermaids which had attacked the would-be mutineers. Does it have something to do with the shells that we've heard mention of throughout these memories?
There aren't many faces of the crew and pasengers that are still blurred, meaning that we're getting close to the end of the memories of death we'll get access to. There's still one event that we've yet to learn about, however: the events leading up to the 'Justice at Sea' picture. Who was the one being shot and why?
