Let's Play RimWorld Alpha 13 #1 - This is Bogmire - Randy Challenge Difficulty
10Today we return again to RimWorld and find ourselves crashed in a beautiful Boreal Forest. We can call the last save a mulligan or just a bad dream, but after quickly going over the embark settings our brave viewers begin anew hoping to take to the trees and find themselves in a better situation. But with the AI storyteller set to Randy, expect the unexpected. We could have easy goings for awhile, or we could have a very difficult challenge thrown at us straight away. But for now, the first steps are always to stockpile, build, an hopefully survive.

This play through of RimWorld is in a Large Hills Boreal Forest biome set on Randy Random, Challenge difficulty. The only Alpha 13 mod this save is running is the EDB character panel -- which will be upgraded to the full mod once the creator has finished it for this version of RimWorld.
What is RimWorld: a sci-fi colony simulator driven by an AI storyteller. The developer's description is succinct, but it tells little of the harrowing tale of survival that each game weaves. Your crashed crew my band together in the year 5500 on a world in the fringes of civilization. Success is based on what you live through, and not necessarily through reaching some overarching goal. So the game is a sandbox through and through. You can relax and build a base or see how quickly the game wishes to punish you -- the choice is yours. And with a great modding community and a supportive developer, expect plenty of great things as RimWorld works its way, slowly, out of Alpha.
