Let’s Play Rise of the Wool Ball #02: This Time it's Purr-sonal
198It’s always the way, isn’t it. You think you’ve totally obliterated an evil army of space cats as well as slaying their leader, only to find out that they literally rebuilt their leaders head and decided to seek revenge, now more power than they’ve ever been. What is it with the forces of evil and refusing to see when they’re beaten? Granted, they’ve upped the ante significantly over last time, including kidnapping the hero of the previous game to ensure he can’t ruin their plans. What they didn’t count on however was Rebecca being just as awesomely capable at heroics as Scott is and considering that they ruined their plans to go to a metal concert, they’ve made her angry.
You won’t like Rebecca when she’s angry, oh no.
Rise of the Wool Ball is a sequel that builds on the things Shadow of the Wool Ball did awesomely with new and even more awesome things. This game is an homage to Rise of the Triad, a game that I’ve never really played before but I doubt this will hamper my ability to appreciate all the additions this game has. At its core, the basic gameplay is unchanged: do battle with the evil space cats, find the self destruct button and escape the level before it blows up, all while finding secrets and appreciating the awesome settings and levels. It’s more of what came before but with new and exciting gameplay additions, new enemies to face and new weapons to face them with. With how awesome the first game was, all the new things will only make it even more awesome.
I’ve said the word awesome a lot in this description, haven’t it? This game certainly deserves that and you’ll see why as we start our fight back against the evil space cats once more.
