Having escaped from Kerrigan's trap but without the Matriarch Raszagal, Zeratul retreats back to Shakuras to convene with Artanis and the remaining Protoss. However, en route to the Dark Templar homeworld, Zeratul is drawn to an unknown moon by Protoss energy readings. The source of those readings not only frighten the Dark Prelate but will change the galaxy as we know it.

StarCraft was released in 1998 for Windows PC with a Mac version following in 1999 and a Nintendo 64 port in 2000. The game's major expansion, Brood War, was also released in 1998.

StarCraft and Brood War are considered to be among the best and most influential video games of all-time and among the best real-time strategy games of all-time for its use of unique but balanced factions and the ability to tell a compelling story in the RTS genre.

The version of the game played here is StarCraft: Remastered which was released in 2017. Remastered features updated graphics, re-recorded audio and updated online features while retaining the gameplay of the original. This LP uses the original 1998 campaign and audio settings.
