The next painting takes our hero to Whomp's Fortress, a floating fortress in the sky, featuring long slopes, shifting sections of floor, spinning and collapsing bridges, and sleeping Piranha Plants. This level also introduces Whomps, big grey rectangular slabs of stone that can squash their victims beneath their girth by flopping down on them. There's another star to be found here, by taking out the Whomp King at the top of the Fortress. Upon reentering the area, a second star resides on top of a newly formed tower where the king resided. Lastly, find the pink Bob-omb to activate the cannon of the fortress and fire yourself to
