Super Monkey Ballis a 2001 platform/party video game developed by Amusement Vision and published by Sega.
Conceived by Amusement Vision head Toshihiro Nagoshi, Super Monkey Ball involves guiding a transparent ball containing one of four monkeys—AiAi, MeeMee, Baby and GonGon—across a series of maze-like platforms. The player must avoiding rolling off the edges and reach the goal within the time limit to advance to the next stage. There are also several multiplayer modes: independent minigames as well as extensions of the main single-player game.
To my knowledge, the original Super Monkey Ball was the only game to contain my favorite mode, competition mode. Which we're playing today! In competition mode, you select 5 courses of your choice from the single player mode, and everyone races to be the first to finish the course in split screen fashion! It's faced paced crazy action and I love it! In part 2, we'll be going through the Master stages unlocked from beating the main game on expert mode without continuing! And be sure to head over to BornLosersGaming to watch us do a Super Monkey Ball playthrough / Walkthrough as we go through the Main Game on Beginner, Advanced and maybe the Expert stages too?
