Breath of the Wild, BOTW, Breasts of the Wild, Skyrimward Sword 2, whatever you call this game, I think we can all agree on calling it a pretty damn good game. The Wii U outside of those who can see beyond its silver lining was pretty much "bleh". It had a lot of potential but in the end left a lot to be desired in it's short lifespan. Barely taking advantage of its widely advertised 5 player capability, and often merely mirroring the gamepad and TV among other things. Late into it's lifetime, the long lost 2012 Zelda tech demo was reincarnated, and after years of waiting, delay, BOTW was finally released. It, ahem, following it's ancestor's path a la Twilight Princess, released on Gamecube and Wii, BOTW was released on Switch and Wii U. This way the Wii U got one last breath (ahahaahha) before it died, and the switch got an incredible foot to start off on. This game is so unique, and honestly the wait was well worth it. This is another example of why I don't mind if a game is delayed, because that means the game will be further honed to perfection. BOTW is a shining example of that. Zelda consists of generally linear games. BOTW throws all that out, and devises a new open world formula where you control everything that happens about your experience. While I'm not always one for innovation, ahem, Crash Twinsanity, go watch my WOC playthrough, innovation was well placed here. BOTW is different, but a good different, one that witholds the action adventure puzzle solving aspects of Zelda that we all love. That said, with no more hand-holding, this game can come off as pretty damn difficult. Game overs have never been so populous in a zelda game before, maybe. (AOL) and it's a larger challenge overall, one that many people welcome. The open world feel is so refreshing. There's so much to do, so much to see, shrines quests, side quests, the list goes on, this game has so much to offer, and it's clear that a lot of effort was well placed into this game. Unlike Twinsanity, if Zelda were to be played out in this manner in the future again, it would most likely be well received once more. Great graphics, incredible soundtrack, so much gameplay offer, this game is indeed a masterpiece. Also Part 3 has the best quality of the three parts.
