Let's Play Titanfall 2 | Chapter 3: Into the Abyss | Shortcut | BT Kidnapped | Ash's Simulation
Welcome back to Titanfall 2, a first person shooter that was released in 2016 and is a sequel to Titanfall, the multiplayer only competitive shooter. The game focuses on the story of Rifleman Cooper as he receives training to become a Titan pilot and his bond with his Titan, B-7274, on the planet Typhon when their invasion is met with heavy resistance and the mission goes astray. Now, they must work together to find a way to uphold the original mission as a part of the Marine Special Recon Service against the reign of the IMC that has been conquering and destroying planets. The game features enhanced mobility as the player can run along walls and shoot enemies in fast, fluid fashion and has various platforming elements in addition to the ability to pilot a mech known as a Titan that often finds its place fighting other Titans or obliterating enemy pilots and infantry alike.
After helping out their fellow SRS Recon marines in the sewage pumping station, and defeating Kane, essentially clearing a path for them to head forward, BT-7274 takes Cooper to where Captain Anderson took a shrtcut through a valley to reach his destination. However, after a quick scan of the evironment, BT realsed that there was an even shorter way through the caves and opted to take the shortcut through the shortcut.
Heading through this new route, they do find resistance along the way, but nothing that BT and Cooper cannot take on. However, one Cooper disembarks from BT in order to manually activate a cargo lift to proceed further, BT is abducted by the plant's manipulator arm and Copper is forced to go and save him.
As Cooper heads deeper into the factory, he realises that he is in the middle of a house prefabrication plant, a very hostie place for most humans amidst all the crushing hazards. But to make matters worse, he must now deal with the enemies from the IMC while travelling on platforms full of danger.
After a certain point of this, the platforms begin being held in storage and the first thing that occurs is that they're kept sideways. Now, Cooper manages to climb out of a sideways house only to find himself in a conversation with Ash, a mercenary pilot who tells him that his only way forward is to step onto a moving platform and see what lies ahead.
What lies ahead is a simulation game that Ash likes to play for entertainment. A few of the SRS Marines are released for sport and the Spectres are unleashed upon them. When that doesn't work, miniature Titans called the Reapers and Ticks, the moving Bombs, are called down instead. However, Cooper manages to eliminate them all. But Ash really wants him dead, so she invites her special squad to come do the tirck instead. However, that opportunity is exactly what Cooper needs to escape the simulation.
This causes Ash to go into a panic and start destroying entire arms of her facility without warning. Ultimately, Cooper finds BT in his own simulation and hops in. Together, they defeat a few Titan grunts before trying to leave and finding Ash in a destroyed plant. In the ensuing fight, Ash is exectued by being ripped out of her Titan and in the end, BT decides that they probably shouldn't take any more shortcuts.
