Let's Play Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Alikes Part 1
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater streams are done (for now). But, in its time, the Tony Hawk’s franchise was earthshattering. And you know what happens when a title shifts the landscape of gaming? Everybody wants to make their own! So this week, fanboymaster is going to play through five different hawklikes in gradually escalating quality. First, we have MTV Sports: Skateboarding featuring Andy Macdonald, which is unfettered garbage. Then we move on to Disney’s Extreme Skate Adventure, which is the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 engine with some light child/furry exploitation. Then it is time for Yanya Caballista: City Skater, the only game I can immediately recall where you use a mini skateboard peripheral to perform skateboarding tricks that repel aliens. Next, Wakeboarding Unleashed Featuring Shaun Murray is a decent and fun game, though it has the obvious handicap of being based on the extremely nontransferable-to-gaming sport of Wakeboarding. Finally, we have Aggressive Inline, which is definitely the most fun game in the batch, so it is played for more than twenty minutes. Why is it the most fun? Watch to find out!
