0The Pur-Lin are reoccurring enemies throughout the Turok series and the next location of our quest brings us to their homeland. At the very end of The River of Souls, the poison waters flow into these swamplands known as The Death Marshes. It wasn't too terribly difficult for The Primagen to ask the Pur-Lin to do his bidding. All he had to do was take advantage of jealousy and resentment towards humankind. The Pur-Lin despise any lifeforms that happen to smarter than them while also being punier than them. Humankind goes onto become more technologically advanced while the Pur-Lin remain in a more primitive society. The Primagen gave the Pur-Lin some high-tech toys to play with while they kill Turok and destroy the Energy Totem. What they don't know is that once they succeed, The Primagen is going to kill them all. Our tasks are to destroy their ammunition storages so their fancy little guns won't have any ammo then we gotta rescue soldiers that the Pur-Lin have kidnapped for torture and sadistic entertainment. Finally, we have another Energy Totem to defend. Along the way, we come across a Grenade Launcher on a patch of land across some poison water. It counts as a secret and you can't get it without dying. You're supposed to get the talisman for swimming in harmful waters first, but you can just bunny-hop across the water to get to it instead. Unfortunately, you can't bunny-hop your way back to shore so you'll be forced to lose a life, but it's worth it to get such a sweet weapon this early. We also face more Flesh Eaters to get our third nuke part.
