Although it's more likely now I'll get attacked by the wargots or the starghosts sometimes the cultists will try and attack you to try and take territory off you. They can either do this alone or with the wargots helping them but either way it's not much different to any other mission involving them. They don't bring any special units you don't face when you attack them which is a shame, it would have been interesting for them to bring people tailored to the task at hand.

Even better would have been the enemies slowly learning how you like to fight and adapting their strategies accordingly. For instance If you focus a lot on snipers and long range attacks then they'd slowly switch over to stealthy people who can sneak up and catch you by surprise with weapons like shotguns that can deal massive damage quickly up close. It would have probably been very difficult to program but it's just a thought on an interesting idea.
