220While it may seem that falling down into the caverns below the catacombs is a bad outcome, it's actually exactly what we were meant to do. We won't find any of the necromancers we need to learn spells from in the upper region and it makes sense that people who revered the mountain king would be buried deep beneath the earth. With the death speak spell we learned in Vividos's library, talking to them should be pretty straightforward.
Reaching them however won't be, for this journey is as much a test of a would-be apprentice's ability to apply the magic they already know and that they're taught in the lower catacombs to overcome specific obstacles. Lithos wants only the best to be necromancers and as the tests do a fine job of weeding out those not up to the task. We can only hope that the Avatar is capable enough to triumph for he needs to master the magic of the titan of earth if he's going to have a chance of returning home.
