In this episode we are stranded on a deserted island with less than friendly creatures inhabiting it.

I also died which was embarrassing but hey now that the first death is out of the way I don't have to worry about that anymore.

I'm not sure if this run will be a true 100% in terms of full journal completion but I will be showing off all the quests, bosses, and true ending.

Shortly after some exploring we will encounter a young woman named Laxia our second party member I know a couple people that don't like her but I think she's a good character and an even Better unit. Let's just say she is the key to many a great sequence breaks. I'm not gonna exploit the story ones but I will definitely exploit the gameplay ones when we get to them.

Using a rapier she deals pierce damage to enemies while Adol uses a standard sword to deal slash damage.

There are many enemies that will only be weak to one damage type and in those cases it helps to swap to the character with that damage type. THAT BEING SAID it's actually good to see those sorts of enemies because using the right weapon type causes them to stun and stagger quickly.

This is not an easy game and I'm playing it on hardmode. (Yes there is a nightmare and inferno mode but I'm saving nightmare mode for one major part of the game. Inferno mode just sucks. Sure the faster enemies can be cool for boss fights but they just do absurd damage plus resources are very limited. If you want to have a serious survival game feeling play on that difficulty but don't be surprised by all the one shots)

I was planning to go longer but it started storming outside and we were right before our first dungeon so I figured here was a good place to stop for now.

One last thing to talk about. This is the switch along with the PC version comes with a reworked script and additional content which we'll get into later. Later releases of the PS4 version also have the new script and content but make sure your game is fully updated just in case. Think of it how old JRPGs had an initial release then an international version with more content.
