What you may not realise when you start your first few cases is that you're already playing catchup when you get control. The case actually starts on the first day of the month, giving the criminals twenty four hours head start on you. This is why you'll find messages that have already been sent even at the beginning and it puts you on a hard timer to find a threat that'll lead you to the crime in question.

One thing I'm sad Ariane isn't any good at is wiretapping. Wiretapping allows you to get information about a place and the person inside it without combat. Though there are challenges in getting to the information without setting off an alarm – doing that raises the alert level – the rewards can be great indeed; you can find out stuff about the occupant even even get messages to decode, all without stepping a foot through the front door. Higher difficulties and lower skill levels give you less chances at information and it's harder to get at, making breaking in a more lucrative prospect. Just remember that ultimately, you're going to need to break into places to get the job done and you certainly have to do that to catch masterminds.
