Let's Play Quake Remastered #05: One Rune Down, Three to Go

Though we don't yet know exactly what the rune we found at the end of the first episode does, the guardian who protected it can leave us in no doubt that it's something very important to the entity invading Earth. We can also logically conclude that each of the four areas we can access in the hub world - there may be more we can't yet reach - contains a rune that we need to get. That the way to these runes will be havily guarded is also a given.
The second episode - the first not to be shareware - ramps up the difficulty somewhat from the start by introducing a new, quite dangerous enemy. The enforcer takes more damage, deals more damage and drops ammunition for a weapon we don't have yet but we won't be seeing much of them; the episode quickly transitions from the human-built stronghold at the start to the strange and alien locations that we became quite familiar with in the first episode. The entities guarding them will also get stronger with one very notable edition coming up very soon.
