We may have a full army at our disposal but we are far from unstoppable. Even the mighty Balkoth, for all the extra bonuses and powerful artefacts he wields, can be taken out by a foe focused entirely on doing so in battle. There are small ways we can tip the scales in our favour – the locusts spell that our scythe can use is one of them, something I need to remember to use more often – but not to the extent that life are a faction that we can take out, so instead we should focus on building up our strength by conquering weaker foes.

Water are the undisputed masters of the waves but it was not the waves that we did battle with them. Their capital is now ours and with it goes their primary source of resource generation but the faction will not truly be gone until we dispatch their lord. Fortunately we know exactly where their lord is and, if my hunch is correct, they won’t have moved far from that location. The force guarding the lord didn’t look too dangerous but it’s best not to underestimate the faction leaders, for they are some of the mightiest units in the game alongside the legendary creatures.
