Hello everyone! Do you remember Blackout Protocol? It was a co-op tactical twin-stick shooter that was released over a year ago. It wasn't that well received (even when I liked it a lot), so they decided to change the gameplay and turn it into Section 13, a more fast-paced version that is still being playtested, reason why they have also temporarily removed the online co-op feature. To be honest, considering how much they say they are changing, the game doesn't feel that different to me, but I have to say that I am not a big fan of the chances. Don't get me wrong, game is still pretty fun to play, but I don't like what they did with the difficulty; it used to be harder to fight the enemies, but at least it would feel rewarding, with enough money, upgrades and healing drops. Here I went through multiple levels, and barely found some, making the roguelike elements not that enjoyable (didn't find any different weapons, the only good upgrade I found wasn't working, and even when I feel like I progressed enough in the levels, barely got any meta-progression leveled up).

The core elemenets of the twin-stick shooting are still there, and they are fun, but I don't like what they did with the roguelike elements.

ALSO, something that I didn't like at all. In Blacout Protocol there were a few moments where you had to hold your ground and survive 'till doors open, but here it happens more often that your way back is blocked by an invisible wall that only you can't cross (enemies can't), making the shooting while retreating (which was a core element in Blackout Protocol) not possible and some encounters unnecessarily annoying. So, I would appreciate that, if we can't cross, enemies can't either.
