I love this approach to the "Chosen" storyline so much. I can't really say enough about this. Jesse isn't just randomly chosen by Fate or Destiny or anything like that.

"You must choose to be Chosen."


That is just such an amazing breath of fresh air coming from a plethora of people that just have no choice and are told "your life will be disrupted whether you want it or not." No, this is the culmination of Jesse's quest. She WANTS this. This is Her choice. And Fate is responding to her, not drafting her.
