In this lecture we discussed the role of leukocytes in immune system.
Leukocytes consist of polymorphonuclear eosinophils, polymorphonuclear Basophils, polymorphonuclear neutrophils, monocytes and lymphocytes. Lymphocytes further consists of B cells , T cells and natural killer cells. T cells differentiate into cytotoxic t cells,helper t cells, suppressor t cells and memory t cells.
B cells differentiate into memory b cells and plasma cells. Plasma cells proliferate and secret antibodies.
