Basically when you see the native in the guard tower look around with his binoculars you have to crawl by Reeds, or in a Boat. Don't worry about natives inside boats, they don't do anything unless you touch them. If the guard tower sees you you'll get instantly speared...
Did I say Telescope? I meant Binoculars, my bad.
Boars? It's okay, just kneel behind the fence, you'll be fine.
Spear Tribesman?! They are tricky, they try to stabby you! Just slide into them, so be careful.
See the 3 rocks?! Try to spin them and hit the Nitros! If you hit it all the middle blocks appear as jumping blocks that you need to use get across! Don't worry if you miss, if the rocks miss they'll come back, but if they just slowly roll into the water they'll vanish...for ever...which stinks. The Red Gem is Tricky, but keep trying!
A Native Village? I love it! Cortex set up as a Human Sacrifice with his arms untied? Even better!
Let's first run around and find the secrets, check the houses because they have loads of Aku aku's and Fruit and Lives and love and joy.
Go up the Beat Traps where Cortex is, there are 2 Gems, The first one is simple, go along the cliff and jump on the platforms, then you get the Blue Gem!
The enxt one is ridiculous and more tricky. Basically you'll see the platforms on top of the house move up and down, use it to jump across the houses! It's a little hard, so be careful. But once you get the Yellow you'll feel better. Just wait till the next one flips up, don't be preemptive like I am..
Now let's get to business, this is much easier if you kill all natives beforehand, but you don't have to. Just go around and slam the worms, if your not quick enough he'll start going backwards, which stinks.
Almost...there...got it! Save Cortex! Whoa I'm falling! And Cortex is drowning, he'll be fine.
