Lewis Hamilton vs Valtteri Bottas Virtual Comparison, Mercedes-AMG F1 W10, Imola Circuit, 2022 Tyres
57I made this virtual Lewis Hamilton vs Valtteri Botta's comparison 3 laps video because I had the pleasure of filming both drivers at the Imola circuit. First, the English and the day after, the Finnish had the track available to continue developing the 18-inch Pirelli tires introduced in the 2022 Formula 1 season. I was careful in filming both more or less at the same point, and also the references such as poles and trees have been carefully chosen to edit the video in the best possible way. Clearly, I don't have certain timed results; this is just a visual comparison, nothing scientific. The current 2021 car, the W12 E Performance, is not used for the tests; they drive the Mercedes-AMG F1 W10 EQ Power + single-seater. This F1 uses the 1.6-litre V6 Turbo engine powered by the 8-speed + RM sequential gearbox; traction is rear. The frame is in carbon fibre with a honeycomb structure; the car's total weight is 743 kg. In the 2019 season, the car was victorious, hitting the goal of winning both world championship titles for drivers and constructors. Out of 21 races disputed, she won 15 occasions obtaining 10 pole positions and 9 fastest laps.

Ho realizzato questo confronto virtuale Lewis Hamilton vs Valtteri Bottas perchè ho avuto il piacere di filmare entrambi i piloti sul circuito di Imola. Prima l'Inglese ed il giorno dopo il Finlandese hanno avuto la pista a disposizione per continuare lo sviluppo dei pneumatici Pirelli da 18 pollici che saranno introdotti nella stagione 2022 di Formula 1. Sono stato attento nel filmare entrambi più o meno nello stesso punto ed anche i riferimenti come pali ed alberi sono stati scelti accuratamente per editare il video al meglio. Chiaramente non possiedo riscontri cronometrati certi, questo vuole essere solo un confronto visivo, niente di scientifico. Per li test non viene adottata l'attuale vettura 2021, la W12 E Performance ma la monoposto Mercedes-AMG F1 W10 EQ Power+. Questa F1 impiega il motore da 1.6-Litri V6 Turbo mosso dal cambio sequenziale a 8 rapporti + RM; la trazione è posteriore. Il telaio è in fibra di carbonio con struttura a nido d'ape, il peso complessivo dell'auto è di 743 Kg. Nella stagione 2019 la vettura è risultata vittoriosa centrando l'obbiettivo di aggiudicarsi entrambi i titoli di campione del mondo piloti e costruttori. Su 21 gare disputate è stata vincente in 15 occasioni ottenendo 10 pole-position e 9 giri veloci.
