Mix and match from over 100 Skills and Talents cards. Go
full-on guns-blazing, cut your way out with blades and axes,
hit your enemies with a guitar, and sing the revolutionary
song! Lead Rene in his human form or use the skin-shifter
ability to play as one of the characters - Master Hunter
Victor, Tribal Warrior Flea, or Revolt Leader Ana. You’ll
encounter mighty enemies too, and face the curses of the
Bliss, so make sure to come to the battlefield prepared.

Lady Bliss came out of nowhere and nestled hidden in the
Bliss - a Cronenbergian netherworld that only you can access.
Guarded by the all-mighty Eldritches, the gardens of the Bliss
are dangerous places. But as you do the monster’s bidding,
you will uncover the mystery of who Lady Bliss is and why she
chose you for her secret mission.

Inspired by the real French Revolution events, characters, and
architecture, Liberté pulls you into a world on the brink of
annihilation. Over more than 50 hours of gameplay, you will
witness body horrors, participate in political maneuvers, and
attempted assassinations, and see Madam Guillotine leaving
a trail of blood.

Deckbuilding is the most crucial game mechanic in Liberte.
You will get new cards drawn randomly from your pre-built

deck when you level up. You can manage your deck while in-
between the runs and save a couple of builds for future use.

Depending on the character you plan to play, you can pick
a dedicated build to best suit your playstyle. Well-crafted
deck defines your gameplay style and can be a difference
between life and death.

But do not worry, Death is only the beginning. Each time you
die, you'll start over with a new deck of cards and a new
chance to fight for freedom.

You will get new cards drawn randomly from your pre-built
deck when you level up. To equip a particular card, you must
have a resource called mana. Burning a card destroys it, but it
gives you mana instead – the number of mana points you will
get is the same as the cost to equip it.
Sometimes deciding which is better is hard, but that’s life, and
you’ll have to live with the consequences. Maybe another time,
you’ll try a different route. And if you die... well...

We decided to list some tips that might be handy. Here are the
top 5 things you should definitely do when playing Liberte:
Dodge
Dodge works instantaneously after clicking the
button. It cancels upcoming attacks, so smash that
button whenever you see fire, enemy, etc., coming
your way, and they won't be able to hurt you. It
also cancels animations. You can fight faster if you
dodge at the right moment.

Use Skills
Basic attacks will recharge your skills, and you'll
be able to use them again in no time, so don't
worry about running out of them. They look more
spectacular too! Why stab enemies when you can
chop off their limbs?

COMBAT

Heal Between Fights
There are lots of things going on once the fight has
begun, and you'll be pressing many buttons (if you
don't feel this way, then you're probably not
dodging enough). You probably won't have time to
heal. Don't panic! Take your time in between the
waves of enemies and find a doctor or use
bandages then.
Build Your Deck
Skills will change the mechanics of the game. They
will allow you to use different attacks, melee or
ranged, or boost your armor and durability.
Change them whenever you've got the chance to
find out what works best for you! Talents, on the
other hand, work passively and don't take up
a slot, so it's great to always invest in those.

Plan Ahead
Curses will turn your run into a nightmare. Take
some time in advance to check what the curse
does and think of an approach to neutralize the
effect. Curses make the game challenging and
force you to adjust your gameplay, especially
when they stack, so try to plan ahead. And if it
doesn't work out... try a different strategy later!

STORY

The French Revolution begins on the 5th of May, 1789. The non-
factual Prince Phillip was supposed to be crowned the next king

of France, after his father - King Louise - died in mysterious
circumstances. On the day of the coronation, the city is shaken to
its core by the arrival of a strange entity - a giant humanoid
which wreaks havoc and kills the Bishop who was conducting the
ceremony.

At the moment of the coronation, Parisians were already divided,
on both political and religious grounds. Many citizens joined The
Congregation years ago, and continued to believe in its strength.
Growing tensions between the locals and the people who
migrated to Paris - members of the conglomerate known as The
Tribe - serve as one of the two main conflicts within the factions.
