Life The Board Game (1979)
Just to tell you how long it took to edit this, I filmed this New Years Day. Which incidentally was my New Years Resolution, do an episode of Life the Board Game. By the way the Thumbnail (unless I change my mind) is what the box to this particular edition looks like .You may notice that I put the year of this game, that is because the modern version vary Drastically. To help explain this I'll simply tell how this version works. At the start, the first choice is to buy or not Buy Auto insurance. Since there are spaces along the board that involve Car accidents this will cover the charges. After that you can go the college root or the Business Root. With the College root you can have up to $50,000 for you Salary, while Business you only get $12,000. Along the way there are spaces where you can buy Stock, Fire insurance and Life Insurance. Each give different pay outs depending on the board. Some of these feature I think are in the modern version but this next part I wish was in the modern version. Every time you land on PayDay Space you get a card. (As well as 2 cards at the beginning of the game). Each cards can have 1 of 3 effect. 1 is make another player pay half of a dept you landed on, 2 is make another player pay half after a big Pay out, and 3 (probably the most satisfying) The exemption card, which makes other cards played on you have no effect. Perhaps my favorite part of the game are the Revenge Spaces. When a player lands on here another player must pay $200,000 or move back 15 spaces if he is unable to pay. The mentioned cards have no effect here. If you have any other questions, feel free to leave a comment at the bottom and I will address it as well as I can. I can only fit in this box what I can think of off my head. So until next time "Keep Havin' Fun".
