Lightening Force is the localized name in North America for Thunder Force IV, a side-scrolling shmup for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive and one of the best on the system. To access the options menu which contains the sound test, simply hold A then press start on the title screen. Not so simply, in order to access the entire soundtrack you must complete a playthrough of the game. Fortunately, by setting the ship stock to 0 in the options menu, you will have 99 lives per continue to make things a lot easier. Upon beating the game, you will unlock the ending tracks and 10 unused tracks. Between completing the game and recording a whopping 48 tracks, this is definitely my biggest recording project yet. I hope you enjoy this amazing soundtrack as it was intended to be heard, and thank you for watching.
