This is video #035 in my playthrough of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. This video contains commentary. To view the non-commentary version, click here: http://youtu.be/WE2_KvCSezk

In the section of the Wildlands' Rocky Crag north of Moogle Village, Lightning encounters the quarry for "The Hunter's Challenge," the Aster Protoflorian. Quite reminiscent of FF13's Aster Protoflorian. This creature is able to rotate its elemental weaknesses with its Exoproofing ability. Having a couple of different elements to play with is helpful. Debuffing abilities such as Poison and Deprotect are quite useful. So are Enfire and Enthunder Potions, available in Canopus Farms.

Definitely try to defend against Efflorescence, Manadrive Missile, Cranial Plant, and Bulb Smash. I would not attempt this fight without the Angel of Valhalla as backup. Strengthening the bird beforehand would be helpful.

At the end, Lightning gets the AMP Chip (time 9:29).

Back in the Jagd Woods, Lightning comes across an Outerworld visitor who sells a Turbo Ether (time 11:46). Nice!

Speaking of the Jagd Woods, a really annoying person comes over a loudspeaker system at 7:00 (7 AM) to wake people up. I ought to make him Lightning's next mark...

Back in Jagd Village, Lightning takes the Aster Protoflorian's AMP Chip to the Hunter Chief (time 21:23). This ends the quest "The Hunter's Challenge," and Lightning earns her prizes: 1,200 gil, the Soldier of Peace garb, a Golden Insignia adornment, and some stat boosts. The Soldier of Peace garb transforms an equipped Heavy Blow ability into Artemis's Arrows, which really helps pound some sense into enemies.

Thanks for watching!
