After having found Sazh and Dajh at the airship wreck in the northern tip of the Wildlands, Lightning returns to the Wildlands Station. There, she chats with Chocolina (time 0:26). She seems to know a good deal about the Katzroys' problems. She already has one of Dajh's soul fragments, but the little mercenary will require Lightning to complete a Canvas of Prayers quest before she forks it over.

So, Lightning must carry out the Canvas of Prayers quest "Global: Key to Her Heart" (time 2:03). Chocolina wants Lightning to return the Beloved's Gift key item, which is found in the extreme southwest by the gate to the Dead Dunes. When Lightning forks over the Beloved's Gift (time 3:08), the thankful feather brain provides her with 1,000 gil, a Fragment of Smiles, a Chocobo Girl's Cap, and modest boosts to HP and Magic. Chocolina is still a bit evasive about how she knows so much about Sazh and Dajh.

Back in Canopus Farms, Lightning heads to Canopus Farms to pick the ripe Gysahl Greens (time 5:44). She replants some Vegetable Seeds. Then, when she feeds the chocobo, something interesting happens (time 6:30). The bird has finally made a complete recovery! The player also earns the trophy "The Chocobo's Savior." Nice.

Back at the Wildlands Station, she hops the train back to Luxerion South Station (time 9:11). In the South Station Plaza, she talks to Luka again for "The Angel's Tears" (time 10:21). Today, Lightning must buy Luka's Tears for 50 gil. This results in a tale from Luka's past.

To the northwest, on 1st Avenue, Light can find Talbot, a boy with the quest "Treasured Ball" (time 13:01). His ball has wound up out of reach, and he cannot get it. Easy enough. Light just has to climb to the upper level, leap onto the platform near Talbot, and grab the Rubber Ball (time 13:34). Then, she can just drop down and hand it to Talbot (time 13:43). For completing this super-mega-ultra-difficult quest, LIghtning acquires Talbot's Gratitude, 100 gil, a Salvage Pilot's Badge, and modest gains to HP and Strength.

On the way to the northern part of town, Lightning visits Baird to turn over some more Soul Seeds (time 16:01). Also, since Lightning found the Moogle Fragment in the Moogle Village in the Wildlands, she can turn it over to him. He hands over the Fragment of Radiance! Lumina pops up to cause a little scene. Note that LIght can get the Fragment of Radiance from any Soul Seed Trader.

At the North Station, Lightning takes the train to Yusnaan (time 19:52). Slaughterhouse Zoe will fork over another fragment of Dajh's soul if Lightning participates in a Slaughterhouse battle.

When she arrives at the Slaughterhouse, she talks with Zoe (time 23:24). This will be a special match against another Zaltys. Light should have enough ice-elemental attacks by now to tame this beastie with little trouble.

At the close of the match, Zoe rewards Lightning with a Fragment of Courage (time 26:52). Naturally, Lightning's favorite troublemaker shows up to cause a scene.

Light now has four of the five Soul Fragments that she needs. The last one will require traveling to the region she hasn't been to yet, the Dead Dunes, so she hops the train back to Luxerion (time 29:12) and then hoofs it to Luxerion's South Station.
