Take a studio grade compressor with Gain, Level and super-smooth compression and add two mid-cut/boost 'colour knobs' and you have a very formidable utility for your pedalboard. The Focus-NX is directly related to the Focus Compressor - same smooth compression with boost function - but it has the added bonus of Colour 1 and Colour 2 which are individually tuned midrange knobs. Want compression with a cocked-wah or pseudo Treble Booster sound? You can do it with the Focus-NX. It's got a LOT of tricks up its sleeve and they're all good.
