Lindsay Lohan Was Almost Cast In The Avengers?

It might be safe to say that SOME of you MAY have missed Lindsay Lohan's docuseries on the OWN Network? And incase you did, you may want to know that Lindsay Lohan dished about almost landing a role in The Avengers.
Lohan said that the reason why she didn't get the role, which apparently went to another "unknown" actress is because her manager didn't follow through on the negotiations. Shooo, that was a close one.
Sounds like someone is a bit hung up on her plummeting acting career since she's still bitter about a role she didnt get from over two years ago, but what I'm really curious about, which she fails to mention, is what role WAS she interested in and who is the quote, "unknown" actress who was cast in her place?
She doesn't give us any hints, but just for fun let's do some speculation shall we? First, there isn't exactly a huge variety of female roles in the Avengers. We know she can't be talking about Scarlet Johansson as the Black Widow or Gweneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts because, let's be real, there is nothing remotely close to unknown about those two. The only other major female role was for Maria Hill who was played by Colbie Smulders, who isn't exactly what one would call an unknown actress either due to her role on How I Met Your Mother and a role she played in Safe Haven last year. But perhaps Lindsay isn't familiar with Smulders' line of work and thought she was a nobody. So, our best guess is that Lindsay was eyeing the role of Agent Maria Hill.
Now, we aren't sure if Lohan was again reconsidered for Joss Whedon's The Avengers sequel, but with filming already underway on Age of Ultron it's pretty clear that she didnt make the cut during this round of auditions either. However, we are getting our first looks from set that feature two new actors that did make the cut in part two, and that is Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch and Aaron Taylor Johnson as Quicksilver.
