----------------------------

I was curious to try the Zelda games released on the Phillips CD-i console, known for being considered the worst games of the series (quite famous, among other things, for the ridiculous animated scenes). So I started looking for a Philips CD-i emulator... and it turns out that there is no need, at least for 2 of the 3 games that were released on the failed console, because a fan, Dopply, has created ports for PC. In addition, they are remastered, as they include some improvements over the originals to make them more playable (although these changes can be disabled).

So in this video I show gameplay of the first of them: Link: The Faces of Evil. Except for a few minutes that I started it before to see that it worked and check controls, it is the first time I play this game (as well as the other two). That is, being a first contact, I die a few times, but I manage to advance some, because at least the part I've played is not too difficult (maybe it's because of the remastering), because when you die you start at the beginning of the screen, which are very short.

I'll bring gameplay of the other two, although the one that is not remastered, Zelda's Adventure (they say it's the worst of them), will be if I'm able to make it work with an emulator.

I don't put link because these remasters already include the full game, but searching for "Link: The Faces of Evil Remastered" on Google it's quick to find. I doubt that Nintendo considers these even Zelda games (if I understood well, they only licensed the use of some characters, such as Link, Zelda and Ganon), but just in case.
