Linus Torvalds gives One Finger Salute to Nvidia LOL My Reaction
Linux creator Linus Torvalds gave the one finger salute to Nvidia and called it "the single worst company" the Linux developer community has ever dealt with".
My reaction is they're not the worst, sure they close source their drivers but the support for Linux is pretty good. All three graphics card manufacturers (Nvidia, AMD ATI, and Intel) all have Issues with Linux in some of their cards on both Desktop and Laptops.
I think the worst companies are the Wireless network card manufacturers, some are good but there are a lot that still don't work properly.
One point I forgot to mention: Lets not forget the whole graphics system in Linux is using x.org which can trace its roots back to 1984. It was never good when it was new and it still isn't good 28 years later.
