Alisia Dragoon is a 2D platformer from 1992 on the sega Mega Drive (also known as the Genesis in the USA).

The gameplay is a bit uncommon:
You control Alisia a powerfull sorceress who shoots lightning streaks.
Alisia's thunderbolt targets foes before her automatically, but the beam gets weaker as Alisia's power is depleted. When fully charged Alisia can unleash a powerfull beam that can wipe the entire screen.
The gameplay is then heavily based on timing: when to rush through ennemies or when to wait and when to attack.
Furthermore, you can choose four uncontrollable pet monsters with unique abilities to help you out ( fireballs, boomerang, burn foes on touch and blast all ennemies on screen)
