Final fantasy 6 was the latest title of the series to be released on the super famicom ( japanese snes ) in 1994, it was ported on the sony playstation 3 years later and on the game boy advance in 2006.
On a gameplay note, this title keept the active time battle introduced in Final Fantasy 4 but removed the job system : each characters are specialised ( and some have unique abilities ).
