Slightly late on uploading this fangame. You have Touhou 19 to blame on that one.

Pretty neat fangame that came out last Friday, developed by 幸歸鈴園 (or Hatamai, as their name is shown in the Music Room [and on Discord]).
It's very different from most Touhou fangames, mostly due to the choice of characters. The usual incident resolvers fell ill due to the course of the plot, with Gensokyo being overrun with poison and... souls of dead babies.

On playable characters, we have Mayumi, who's basically your usual homing shot. Or rather, more of a lock-on shot. I don't like that shot as much though, because if you're too far away from a target horizontally, the shot just... won't lock on.
On the other hand, Mai and Satono are basically your laser shot. Satono spreads hers out a bit, while Mai is forward-focus. They swap with the V key by default.
Both players have essentially a wide shot unfocused (except Mai's one also being forward-focus), so there's not much to talk about there. You can very slightly increase your shot damage with Mai by shiftspamming though, which is cool I guess.
There is also a secret third playable character, who I will talk about in the Extra video, since I use her there.
Also the playable influences the Stage 4 boss's 2nd and 3rd spells, and the final boss's 5th spell.

On resources, they're completely outside the norm here. 1UPs you get through pink fog clouds which will appear periodically throughout the game, there being a total of 13. 4 of those are thrown at you on the Stage 2 boss because she's trying to help you, lol.
Bombs are gotten either through midboss drops, or whenever you use a Spirit Release.
Spirit Releases are used by pressing C when the three fireballs on the right are glowing, filled up by collecting these big blue items, which are supposed to be said dead babies souls. It gives invincibility and deletes bullets that it hits, and it's pretty big.
Deathbombs in this game are mega free, you have about half a second to input them, however they cost two bombs instead of one.
Also, the flower on the HUD is also another gauge you fill by grazing. Once full, you will get the Last Spell for that stage's boss.

The game's main draw is the fog system. There are 8 fog colors, as listed:
Pink - Extend.
Red - Kills you after staying in it for one second.
Orange - Shoots bubbles out.
Yellow - Locks you in place.
Green - Speeds you up oh my god i'm so fucking sick of this one i hate it stop making me run into bullets PLEASE
Cyan - Does nothing. It's mainly there to carve out a path during the mazes in the stage portions... But you can just dash through red ones if you're ballsy enough, since going from red cloud to red cloud refills your meter.
Blue - Prevents you from shooting.
Purple - Slows you down, good old Medicine stuff.

Not sure what to think of this. It's pretty unique, but it definitely comes at a detriment for visibility at a few points.

Also Mai and Satono are basically The Funny when it comes to dialogue. Lots of memes and references.

Overall, I like the game quite a bit, which was a surprise after some frustrations I had with the demo. That said, there are... some design choices that were made. Be it whether with some of the fog clouds, or with some patterns.
That and uh. Wow this game is 40 minutes long. But at least I guess I didn't feel the length all that much? Probably because you actually have to somewhat engage with the stages. wink wink nudge nudge you know what i mean
It definitely has the feel of a passion project though. Love to see that.
